P‐12.4: Investigation of Micro‐lens to improve the Efficiency of Micro‐LED Display System

According to the measurement, luminescence of micro‐LED has great divergence. The luminous intensity is uniform when less than 45 degrees, but there still strong at more 60 degrees. large scattering angle makes light easily crosstalk with adjacent units, which affects display effect and reduces efficiency. In this paper, a variety surface microstructures are introduced, corresponding micro‐lens designed according characteristics micro‐LED. internal total reflection suppressed by adjusting optical system, collimated. efficiency can improve 15% divergence reduced, helpful And it also beneficial application backlight communication.
